Community Partnership School is an independent elementary school serving children in the North Central area of Philadelphia. It is a joint project between Germantown Academy, the oldest nonsectarian day school in the nation, located in Ft. Washington, and Project H.O.M.E., a large social services agency providing supportive housing and comprehensive services to underserved populations in the greater Philadelphia area.
CPS offers a unique educational opportunity that combines an outstanding academic curriculum with access to technological resources and wide-ranging services for low-income students and their families.
CPS is located in Project H.O.M.E.’s Honickman Learning Center/Comcast Technology Labs from 6:45 am until 2:00 pm each school day.
Community Partnership School provides after school care and enrichment from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm in their after school program housed around the corner at the former St. Elizabeth’s school building.
Community Partnership School provides breakfast, lunch and two snacks for each student each day.
CPS opened in September, 2006 with 34 children in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First grade. Another grade will be added each year until the school serves students in Pre-K through Fifth grade.
Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Academic Schools, the Community Partnership School is a member of the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools (ADVIS) and the National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA).
