Our Vision

Talent abounds in every community; access to opportunity does not. Community Partnership School works tirelessly toward its ambitious vision: to meet talent with opportunity by providing children from low-wealth, low-income communities with the same quality education offered in the region's best private schools, support and engaging families in the process, and striving to transform lives and strengthen the community.

Mission Statement

A co-educational independent elementary school located in North Central Philadelphia, CPS offers qualified children from the area a rigorous and well-rounded education that prepares them for lifelong success. CPS helps each student realize his/her full potential through individualized instruction focusing on intellectual, physical and character development within a safe learning environment. Collaborating with families to nurture each child’s development, CPS seeks to build a stronger community for all.

Our Goal: Upon graduation from CPS at the end of fifth grade, studens will be prepared to attend the region's best middle schools.

Our Objectives

• To create a pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade program for talented inner-city children with the intent that they will be eligible to attend selective public, independent, religious and charter middle schools.
• To create a model for similar ventures that will combine thriving independent schools with successful community-based programs to bring opportunity to our youngest children living in low-income urban areas.
• To create a demonstration program accessible to area universities and schools of education that will provide opportunities for graduate-level research on best school practices for inner-city children.
