Young Friends of CPS

 
 
Young Friends of Community Partnership School seeks engaged professionals to become advocates for our students and community.
 
The mission of the Young Friends is to create awareness, provide volunteers, and conduct fundraising events to benefit the students of CPS while providing its members an opportunity for personal development and lasting relationships. Membership is open to individuals age 40 and under.
 
Young Friends Membership Benefits
  • Meet and network with young, engaged Philadelphia professionals
  • Engage in various volunteer opportunities – a single event, weekly or monthly
  • Opportunity to attend a Community Partnership School Board meeting
  • Invitation to members only Young Friends Event

Young Friends Membership Expectations
  • Pursue the mission and goals of Community Partnership School
  • Become a knowledgeable representative of Community Partnership School
  • Actively recruit and retain Young Friends members in order to build a large and diverse network of supporters
  • Plan and execute two social/networking events per year
  • Plan and execute an annual volunteer opportunity tailored for Young Friends
  • Coordinate efforts to meet annual Young Friends fundraising target (as set by Committee members)
  • Build relationships with individuals, corporations, and organizations within the community
  • Pay annual dues of $35

Join us on Wednesday, May 22nd, for a Young Friends informational meeting!

We've received such a great response from those of you who attended the CPS Young Friends event at the Union League in April...so much so that we've decided to host another, less formal meeting about the school, our Young Friends group and ways you can get involved. We plan to discuss our Board's immediate needs and also think long-term about events, fundraising, and volunteer efforts that we can undertake to support the CPS students, families and staff. To access the Philadelphia Financial offices, security must have your name in advance, so please RSVP to youngfriends@cpsphilly.org if you plan to attend.
