Community Partnership School's Fourth School Year Ends on a High Note

Friday June 11, 2010 marked the close of Community Partnership School's fourth school year! But before students left for a restful summer vacation, they performed a fantastic array of songs, dances, and more for their families and teachers at the After School Program's End of the Year Performance.

Students Sing and Play School Year's Greatest Hits at Music Recital

This morning, Community Partnership School students impressed families and staff with their singing, dancing, recorder and violin skills at an amazing music recital, organized by music teacher Beth Dzwil. The performance was a wonderful culmination of a full and exciting year of music instruction, where students learned everything from famous folks songs and composers to how to sing in rounds and hold violin bows correctly.

Community Partnership School Hosts Red Carpet Affair

Recently, Community Partnership School hosted an exciting event: its First Annual Red Carpet Affair! The night was a chance for students, families, teachers and staff to gather and celebrate a successful school year with good food, music, and more!

Students Learn About Modern Art, Careers and More at SEI

Last week, Community Partnership School's third and fourth graders visited wealth management firm and CPS supporter SEI Investments, which they quickly learned was not a typical office building! The corporate campus hosts the West Collection, an assortment of very unique and innovative modern art work, including everything from giant beach chairs, mobiles of Michael Jordan, and floating rubber sharks!

CPS Students Show McDonalds There's No Clowning Around in Science Class!

It was not just any ordinary science class for the Community Partnership School fourth grade on Wednesday May 12th. After students prepared slides to examine under microscopes, they shared their findings with some special guests: representatives from CPS funder Ronald McDonald House Charities... including Ronald McDonald himself!
