From students to parents to faculty to the Board members to neighborhood, the CPS community came together last Monday to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The day's activities included quilt making, singing, and a presentation by 5th grade students on the connection between Dr. King's message and their school's mission. The community also collected and organized donated goods, such as dried food and hygiene products, which were donated to a local chapter of the Salvation Army.
