On a beautiful mid-October Friday morning, Ms. Kim, Ms. Budin, Ms. Flores, and the CPS Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes traveled to Styer Orchard in Bucks County, where they picked apples, gourds, and ('tis the season!) pumpkins. They also learned how farmers measure quantities of produce. How many bunches of apples are in a buschel? Just ask one of the CPS kindergartners.
To celebrate Thanksgiving, the entire school gathered for a feast. Every class contributed to the feast-- designing menus and placemats, creating centerpieces, and making cider, fruit salad and other tasty treats. 
Recently, the second grade class hosted an exhibit on Native American homes and invited all members of the CPS community to see all that they have learned.
Joined by top boy choirs from Philadelphia, Newark, Baltimore, New York, Princeton, and even Lithuania, CPS 3rd and 4th grade boys helped make choral history by participating in a concert of 1,000 boys at the Kimmel Center.
