Mrs. Yi, Mrs. Harris, and the CPS 1st grade students invited their caretakers to join them in a celebration of reading at last week's Read-a-Thon. The 1st grade will invite their caretakers, along with other members of the greater CPS community, back to their classroom once per month to share their literary progress.

After a full year away from their beloved recess destination, CPS Pre-K through 3rd grade students have returned to a newly renovated Judson Street playground. The playground now includes a soft, padded surface, making it a safer, more fun facility!
Hattitude! A catchy name for a lovely annual event hosted by CPS volunteers Kezirah Vaughters and Mary Ammon. On a warm Saturday afternoon in September, 50 ladies came out to support Community Partnership School wearing a parade of hats fit for a fashion runway! 
The 2011 - 2012 school year has officially begun at CPS! Eighty-five students, more than double the number enrolled back in 2006, arrived at school on the morning of September 6th for their first day of classes. How happy are they to be back? The beaming smile displayed by Amir G. (left) says it all!
