Last week, the first grade class had a fantastic time visiting the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. The field trip was a great tie-in with their Animal Unit. Not only did the first-graders get to view a whole host of animals in the aquarium, they also had the opportunity to touch jellyfish, rays, sharks, and sea stars! The first graders are mesmerized by all of the water life! A first grader reaches down to touch a passing shark at the Adventure Aquarium. The students also attended a habitat class at the aquarium. They had the opportunity to see (and touch!) several different animals as they learned about their homes and environments.
