Last week, Community Partnership School hosted an information breakfast for friends and community members interested in learning more about the school. After visiting classes and hearing from faculty, administrators, and volunteers, visitors had a chance to listen to CPS's most important voices: the students'.
Two fourth graders addressed the group to share their reflections on what makes CPS so special. Here are their thoughts: "I really love CPS because we have great technology. We have computers everywhere, smart boards, and math and reading games. I also love that our teachers are so nice – I love my teachers and they love me. I must say that I also love my classes. They are fun and sometimes challenging! I’m getting ready to learn division in Math class. I think division will be really hard.
Before CPS, I attended a not-so-good school. Bad things happened there such as cursing, things were stolen, and sometimes there were fights! When our teachers were sick and didn’t come to school, we were moved to classrooms with other students. I didn’t like those days at my old school because so many students were in one room together. I am happy to say that CPS is VERY different!
I think CPS is a great school. I think all good kids deserve to go to CPS."

![]() "I love my school! There are only 13 students in each class which allows us to receive the undivided attention that we need. I guess you can say that we are loved by a lot of people! I really like being in 4th grade because we are the leaders of the school. We have more responsibilities as 4th graders. We have more reports, more complicated work and more grown up things that we are responsible for here at our school. It’s exciting that we are the leaders and of course, we will be the first graduates of CPS!
My most challenging class is Spanish. I like the class a lot, but it’s a lot of work. To improve and get better at Spanish, I’m going to ask for help and I’m also going to go to a bookstore to find a few Spanish books that I can use for practice. I also need to listen more in class and of course, spend more time studying. The big difference between CPS and other schools is that we have very small classes. It is so nice to not have to wait to get the help that I need."
