There has been no shortage of music this week at CPS! Today, the Germantown Academy Middle School Chamber Ensemble stopped by CPS and wowed the school with a fantastic performance. Meanwhile, over the weekend, the CPS third graders had the opportunity to see Germantown Academy Middle School's production of "Grease." The Chamber Ensemble performed several songs, including a rondo, a minuet, and even a few Beatles songs. The talented 6th, 7th, and 8th graders paused after songs to teach the students about their different instruments and answer some burning questions from the curious CPS students (like, when did you begin playing?). The Chamber Ensemble plays flawlessly for CPS. CPS students watch the performers with awe. Over the weekend, a group of CPS third graders attended GA Middle School's "Grease." The field trip was organized by CPS volunteer and GA parent Ms. Kari Lynn Hearn, who has been working with the students on drama. In addition to watching a fantastic performance, CPS also got the chance to spend time with the performers after the show and learn about their experiences. The CPS third grade class poses with a few of the GA "Grease" performers. |
