On Wednesday, January 27, the newly-formed Young Partners of Community Partnership School hit the ground running, hosting a packed happy hour event at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, and raising over $2,000 for the school!
Not only did the event raise money, but it helped find CPS 100 new friends, who attended the event to learn more about CPS's unique model and how to get further involved. The energetic Young Partners Committee formed earlier this fall, and wasted no time embarking on their task to spread the word about CPS to the Philadelphia young professional community and recruit new volunteers and supporters. Guests had a chance to learn more about CPS from students, who greeted them at the door, as well as volunteers, parents, staff, and Board members. Music was provided by the Patrick Willis Band, who generously donated their services for the event.
CPS students welcome guests to World Cafe Live. Big thanks go to Greg Michaels and the Young Partners Committee for organizing such a successful, fun event! To learn more about the Young Partners, email Greg: gregoryjmichaels@gmail.com. |
