CPS's New Connections

5/20/2008

CPS continues to establish strong connections with organizations and individuals beyond our friends at Project H.O.M.E. and Germantown Academy. These connections are important to us in a number of ways as we work continually to strengthen our foundation and establish a strong reputation both locally and beyond.

One result from this outreach is an increase in the number of volunteers working with us this year. Whether during regular school hours or on weekends during various school-sponsored events, a number of folks have signed on to lend a hand…and it’s not just adults! In fact, for the last month of school, four high school seniors from area schools are volunteering their time, Monday through Friday, working with our classes. Each of these enterprising students has signed up to work with CPS in order to fulfill the Community Service portion of their graduation requirements.

A little information about who they are:
Susanna Hamilton
is at the Baldwin School and is working with Pre-K.
Lauren Ladov is at Germantown Academy and is working with Kindergarten.
Schuyler Rooke is at Chestnut Hill Academy and is working with 1st grade.
Rebecca Miller (CPS's Lauren Miller’s younger sister!) is at Baldwin and is working with 2nd grade.

We are proud to have these scholars and role models working with us over the final weeks of school.
