The 09-10 School Year is Almost Here!

Tuesday, September 1^st            Parent Council Meeting (Noon-1:30PM). All CPS parents/guardians are considered members of the Parent Council so all parents/guardians are invited to attend this first of several Council gatherings. The meeting will be held in the first floor conference room here at the Learning Center.

 

Tuesday, September 8^th           Open House and Uniform Distribution (8AM-3PM). This will be a time to follow up with your child’s teachers, pick up a Family Handbook, complete necessary paperwork, and purchase any uniform items you have ordered.

 

Wednesday, September 9^th      First Day of School! Doors open at 7:15 a.m. Please see the daily schedule below and note that there will be no After School this week.

 

Monday, September 14^th          First Day of After School. See the daily schedule below for details.

 

                                                New Family Night (5:30-7PM). All parents/guardians new to CPS are invited to a social gathering where you will have a chance to meet members of the faculty, staff, Parent Council and other new families. We will meet at our After School location and child care will be provided. 

 

Thursday, October 1^st              First Parent Night

 

Daily Schedule

7:15 a.m.         Honickman Learning Center doors open.

7:30 a.m.         Breakfast is served.

7:45 a.m.         Children who arrive after this time will not have time for breakfast.

8:00 a.m.         Classes begin – children who arrive after eight are considered late.

2:30 p.m.         The school day ends and students travel to After School (located at the King

Ctr., 22^nd St. and Cecil B. Moore Ave.)

5:30 p.m.         After School ends – children must be picked up from After School by this time.
