Friday June 11, 2010 marked the close of Community Partnership School's fourth school year! But before students left for a restful summer vacation, they performed a fantastic array of songs, dances, and more for their families and teachers at the After School Program's End of the Year Performance. The End of Year Performance, now an extremely popular CPS tradition, was organized by After School Director Lynette Rembert and the After School Program staff. After weeks and weeks of practice, all of the students - from pre-k to fourth grade- amazed the audience with their singing, dancing, drumming, and martial arts skills. The entire school opened the program by singing "Wake Up Everybody," The pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes charm the audience with a tap dance number. The first and second grade girls perform a jazz-inspired dance. The CPS students demonstrate their martial arts skills The auditorium was packed to capacity to watch the talented CPS students! The younger grades finish an exciting African dance. The third and fourth graders perform a traditional snake-inspired dance from Haiti. Congratulations to all the Community Partnership School students and the After School Program staff for a fabulous performance and an even better year! |
